A broadcast media professional. Lived and worked in several countries and continents spanning Asia,  Europe and more recently America.  News junkie, love learning new languages, travel, eating dark chocolate and street food, music, and photography.

I enjoy a great conversation, a strong cup of coffee, embrace the fear of the unknown, and absolutely love working in the media – That probably explains why I do what I love and love what I do!

I speak fluent English, Hindi, Italian and Konkani and have knowledge of French, Portuguese and Arabic.

I’ve never been afraid to try something new, travel to a new place, take the road less travelled and secretly anticipate my next move. And so, I decided to call this blog ‘Whereintheworldischarlene’, and through this you will continue to read about my experiences

“And as a result, I guess I’m just kind of a rubberneck. I’m kind of a someone who likes to see things and likes to see these events and talk to the people who make them happen. But I don’t think journalists are as important as the people they cover.” –Bob Schieffer
